As our final project for this course we had to research some technology that can be used as an educational tool in our classrooms. Our groups decided to use MindMeister. MindMeister is a mind mapping online application that allows learners to visualize, share and present their thoughts online and these can be saved to the drive. This tool is super powerful as it allows learners to put their thoughts into a visual map, and each part of the map can be connected in different ways. Each branch point can be displayed with different colours, text, or links to other websites. In our video we illustrate how this tool can be used in a cross-curricular fashion in various science subjects or even in the humanities. Enjoy the video!
For my personal contribution to the project we each did a short video on how MindMeister can be used in our specific teachable areas or specific content areas. I made a 3 minute video to help describe how this tool can be used in general for educators and also in an Anatomy and physiology 12 classroom.
