Setting up my blog was fairly straight forward. However, once I had the website created, editing my blog was challenging. I have never used OpenEd or WordPress before and at the moment I find the dashboard confusing and difficult to determine where to edit different parts of my website. Some parts are easy, for example the “About Me” where you can simply click “edit” and start typing. Other parts are less intuitive. For example, I am unsure how to edit the order of drop down options or what shows up on my home page (images etc) if even possible at all. I feel like a video going through the editing process would have helped me with this process. With all that said I am optimistic because most of these things I’m sure I will learn as I continue to use this program more throughout this course.
It will be interesting to continue to monitor and read back on my posts throughout this course to see what I have learned and how I have grown.
